Comeback Day 6

Ho, Ho YEAH!
Today's Workout:
Run:  59/6 miles/treadmill.
Bike:  32/10+ miles/stationary.

Slogged on over to the fit center
this morning, feeling the
freezing morning air.
Autopiloted the machine
and began to jog.
Stiff legs turn to fluid after
a mile or so.
Hung in and hung on
for the ride, felt better the
longer I held to the pace
just under 10 minute miles...
Managed to spin for some 32 minutes
and 10 miles after the run.
Tired, drenched, cold
hit the shower, got dressed
headed up and out
Back to Work Today!
Enjoy it all...

Comeback Day 3

Cold is what it is.
It is the day after Thanksgiving, all is well enough with the world here.
Some people will have stuffed themselves yesterday with;
turkey, potatoes, stuffing, pies, cakes, snacks,
drinks and who all knows just what.
I used to do that myself
I know that overstuffed feeling.
It's no fun as I recall.
Some people having overindulged will then
begin a diet and exercise program the day after
the Thanksgiving feast in an effort to get
"in shape"
for the Christmas Holiday Season.
Well it's just a month now to Xmas Day,
I am 3 days into the Comeback...
going strong, not for the Holidays
but for life now, and beyond.
I hope your on a life plan to health
starting today or whenever ....
Enjoy it all

It's OK

Sometimes this is the way I feel.
and that's OK.
It just is.
Sometimes.
Accepting how you feel, who you are, the way
you appear, it's not fun and exciting.
Slogging through yet another day
when you feel this way
is tough.
It's mentally exhausting.
I have been working
on myself for awhile now to
get myself to accept it when I feel tired
or unmotivated and just want to take
a day off from the daily workout.
I am getting better I tell myself.
When you feel like hell.
Maybe go slow or rest up.
I try.
Don't always succeed but maybe
I am making progress.
So, yesteday...Tuesday I rested with
no workout.  A big ohfer day.
Wednesday however is today:
Decided to lumber over to the fit center
at 0445...
Managed a decent workout;
Didn't plan it
It just so happened...
Run:  37/4+ miles/treadmill.
Bike:  31/10 miles/stationary.
Run:  20/2+ miles/treadmill.

Taking Action

Yesterday I took a day off from working out.  I rarely do so.  When I do often feel guilty about it and generally feel out of sorts for a day or more.  This is true again.  I did get back on the beam this morning, though I am feeling out of sorts still...all I can do is what I can do, taking action one day at a time...
Today's Workout:
Bike:  31 minutes/10 miles/stationary.
Run:  39 minutes/4 miles/treadmill.
Short routine, good energy, well rested?
Coming back is a challenge...
Enjoy it all.

CHAMPIONS

The 2010 World Series Champions
Your San Francisco Giants !
The Giants beat the Rangers last night 3-1 to win the World Series.
First time for the City of San Francisco.
I have been a Giants fan since I was a kid and first
began to follow the team, listening to Russ and Lon
on KSFO, trading baseball cards and trying to get
autographs at Candlestick Park.
The first job I ever applied for and didn't get
was to be a bat boy for the Giants!
89 and 02 teams made it to the Series
but they could not close.
 Brian Wilson closed this one,
helluva job and great team
Lincecum, Cain, Huff, Posey
and all the rest!
My Team
The Giants World Champs!
Enjoy it all...
