More Pre
What would Steve Prefontaine be doing today
if he had survived the night of May 30, 1975?
Would he be a Nike executive or board member?
Would he be running his own company?
Coaching? Commentating?
Would he be a US Senator?
We cannot know, though all are possible.
I imagine he would have moved to the marathon
in the late seventies or early 80's.
I imagine he would continue to run for
recreation and for health, he would be
about 60 this year.
Whatever the case...

NOTES ON
LE TOUR 2011
Watched a bit of the Tour De France, version 2011. It wrapped up Sunday. Cadel Evans of Australia wins the overall. Andy and Frank Schleck: 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The real story for me was Tom Voekler of France. He managed to win a breakaway stage and hold on for 9 days as the leader, he rode magnificently in the mountains with great determination to hold onto the yellow jersey. For a rider not known as a climber he just rode so well right next to the star climbers for so long, we thought he just might find a way to win. He did not. He finsihed 4th overall. Awesome job Tommy V!
The words are: Determination, persaverance, pride, inspiration!
