Another Sunday, Halloween in fact and the last day of the month. Cooler weather is beginning to hit in the mornings.  Giants lost yesterday 4-2 in game 3 of the World Series.  Still up 2-1 in the Series.

Hydration/Totals

Read a bit of the Daniels Formula this morning.  Topics covered included the need to hydrate in order to maintian blood viscocity. Keeping the blood, 'thinner' allows a better flow, getting the blood with it's oxygen to the muscles with less effort.   With this is mind, I took on extra fluid on the workout and I seemed to have a good energy level...

Working Class Act


Yesterday in Chile, the 33 miners trapped for 69 days were rescued.  These men survived hardship that we cannot properly appreciate or imagine.  They kept faith and remained resolute. These men maintained an organized way of life in an extreme setting.  It was a scene to remember watching them arrive above ground and reunite with their families.  After the last man arrived above ground all of the people present proudly sang the national anthem of Chile.  This was a powerful and moving show of a nations unity and love of its working class heroes.

The Monday Morning Shuffle

I awake from the screeching sound from your alarm clock. Realizing that you forgot (again) to change the sound of that damned alarm from the menu of available alarm sounds on your multi functional clock/radio/cd/blah, blah, blah player.  It CAN'T be time to get up.
But it is. Haven't slept hardly at all it seems, maybe 3 hours?  Dread, worry, fear permeate my groggy mind. Sore thighs, knees and ankles, my feet on the floor I shuffle towards the door leading at some point to the coffee maker...hands in front feeling the way to the ON switch, thankful I set it up to brew, last night.  To the bathroom now, the ritual begins, shuffling off, the aroma of coffee is a beautiful thing.  And so it goes...

Stationary Bike:  41 minutes/13+ miles. Steady for 35+ minutes and easy last 2 miles.

Of Note:  Giants win again! San Diego loses again! Giants up on Padres by 3, 3 to go
all at home versus...Padres.  Giants only need one win to secure the NL West title!
