It was back in 1961 when the Beach Boys became popular. "Surfin", made the radio and charted locally in the LA area. "Surfin Safari" was a national hit and they went on to score international fame and fortune. Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine were the original Beach Boys. Dennis and Carl have passed on. Mike Love and Al Jardine each tour with separate bands doing Beach Boys songs, while Brian Wilson the key creator of the Beach Boy sound and much of their music plays with an entirely different band today. The history of the Beach Boys is filled with stories of great success, and human tragedy, such is life. Time always moves on, change is ever present, as nothing much stays the same. We do well ourselves, to learn to become okay with change, for becoming too attached to people, places and things can bring suffering. As for the Boys and music they played, it seems to live on and it still sounds great to me!
