Lance Armstong on Stage 9 of the Tour of Italy.
Stage 9 will not count toward the GC standings. A rider went down in the stage and admist many complaints of the riders themselves over safety concerns the results in stage 9 will not count towards the General Classification standings. The Astana team salaries have not been paid for several weeks, it seems the economic crisis has impacted the teams major sponsor the country of Khazikstan. Team Astana may become Team.... something else in a few weeks.
For now the team is placed well in the Giro: Levi 4th, Horner 8th, Popo 12th, Lance 25th at 4:39 behind Diluca the Italian wearing the Rose jersey as GC leader.
