I used to dread the treadmill run and avoid it at all costs. I considered it boring and mentally decided I just would not and could not abide it. I still prefer a trail run and getting outside by far. When it comes to doing speed work, or hard tempo runs the treadmill has become a good tool. I have overcome my mental dislike for it and have found it has a place in my way of training. I consider this another obstacle overcome and factor in the power of :

BIKE
40 minutes, 13+miles, 90% race pace.
RUN
43:45, 5 miles, power run, treadmill.
WALK
16 minutes, treadmill, cool down.
