At the close of stage 16, a tough mountain stage:Levi 6th place 3:21 down
Lance 12th place 11:06 down
Popovich 13th place 12:04 down
Astana team continues to perform, but suffered a bit, in the heat on the climbs yesterday. Lance had to rescue Levi and pace him back to the mountain finish, losing about a minute and a half to Menchov who remains in the Pink Jersey.
