Then there are the mornings that follow the days you are tired, often you are now rested and ready to run and run hard and strong. That would be today. Felt good and rested, plenty of sleep last night and woke up feeling good, confident that today's workout would be a strong one. Those positive thoughts first thing in the morning contribute to the days success. Did a good stationary bike ride and followed it up with a power run on the treadmill, not all out, just a good engaging run where the body and mind are working well together above the normal pace. The lights went out in the fitness center this morning while I was on the treadmill, I had to adjust and continue another 2 miles while running in the dark, trying to balance the minds reaction to darkness and panic while telling myself to simply stay the course, I gained control and simply carried on. Upped the pace each mile, while amping it up quite a bit several times over the last mile. Best part of a run? Yeah you got it, when it's OVER!

BIKE: 40 minutes, 12.92 miles, stationary. Half easy, half hard.
RUN: 47 minutes, 5 miles, treadmill, power run.
